Meet The Clue Detective

Catherine Eagleson is an Australian puzzle setter, and the founder of the Clue Detective Puzzle Agency, which she founded in 2004.

She has developed her own range of puzzles that include crosswords, codewords, trivia quizzes and cryptograms.

Catherine is passionate about showing people of all ages the benefits of puzzling, and that by solving them they can improve their knowledge, word power and health and well-being; not to mention being a fun, intellectually challenging activity.

In 2013, Catherine began developing her Online Puzzle Portal platform.  It is now purchased as a public library e-resource in Australia and New Zealand.

Catherine runs a weekly club at the Portarlington Neighbourhood House, where a group of  puzzlers gather to solve crosswords, codewords and quizzes.  There is much laughter and learning along the way.  The libraries at the City of Holdfast Bay have adopted the same model for their patrons, with much success!

Catherine welcomes freelance puzzling opportunities.  Over the years she has contributed to publications such as Trader Tag, Active Retirees (Probus) and The Sydney Morning Herald.  She is always keen to meet and collaborate with fellow puzzlers, provide guest blogs and to mentor budding setters.  Her Clue Detective affiliate program provides new and experienced entrepreneurs with the opportunity to earn money promoting a product which is fun, educational and universally popular.<<li>>

Catherine lives on the Bellarine Peninsula, near Geelong with her husband Alex. When not involved with puzzles, she is a passionate Rotarian and mental health advocate. She enjoys travelling, cooking, knitting, and reading detective fiction.
